Create a QR code for consent
A QR code is the fastest way to collect consent on-site — no app, no account. The QR leads to a link you generate per project. Approvals land as received in the right context. The exportable proof is created only when you finalize.
Short version: how it works
- You create a project.
- LegitForm generates a link and a QR code from it.
- Participants scan → confirm in the browser (no account).
- Optional: finalize → proof (PDF + protocol) is created and becomes exportable.
Step-by-step: create the QR code
- Create a project (title/location/date optional, but helpful for context).
- Open “Share approval” inside the project.
- Choose “Show QR code” — done.
- Place it on-site (tablet/poster/display) or show it directly on your phone.
- If you need it: finalize relevant consents in the project → create proof (PDF + protocol).
Tips for clean results
- One QR per occasion: use a separate project per appointment/job/event (instead of “everything in one”).
- Finalize only when needed: collecting is the interim state — proof is the closure.
- Kiosk vs own device: for quick throughput, “scan & confirm on your own phone” usually works best.
Do participants need an account?
No. The QR leads to a link; confirmation happens directly in the browser.
What is the QR code useful for?
For on-site: desk, reception, event entrance, shoot — everyone scans quickly and confirms.
When is the proof created?
Only when you finalize. Before that, it’s stored as an interim state in the project.
Can I collect first and finalize later?
Yes. Collecting is the interim state — finalizing creates the exportable proof (PDF + protocol).
Can I use link and QR at the same time?
Yes. You can share the same flow via link (chat/email) or as a QR on-site.
